Today on the blog, Jodi Barrows shares about her quilting ministry and how it has been inspirational in the writing of Threads of Change and Threads of Home, both available now.


Over 30 years ago, when I first started teaching quilting, I realized that women need to feel good about themselves.  I had a student who said she couldn’t do it even before she got into the door of the classroom.  She told me a dozen times or more that she couldn’t do it, before she even got her sewing machine out and on the classroom table.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’ll Give You All I Can… Brandon Warren via Compfight

Today is a holiday celebrating love and romance. Though it’s a commercialized holiday you may either love or hate, it can be a good reminder of God’s love for us and the love He wants us to show others.

In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul describes the incredible love of God– the love we are to emulate as we interact with one another:

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
