A Map of Texas, based on the Morgan family history

I am from the midwest so of course, I would love to read a book on the history of Iowa or Minnesota.

    washington state!

I’ve lived the first half of my life in Kansas and the second half in Missouri…so how about either one of those. =)

Thanks for the chance to win.

It’s been grand being part of this series.

And I love these answers–three people, five states. I will not give an answer, because I am invested in the Texas Trails series.

Thanks for visiting the River North blog and leaving your comment. It’s always sad to see the end of a series, but I’m hoping you’ll fall in love with Brooks Morgan in End of the Trail and his charming, joking personality. God bless!

I would like to see Wyoming. I lived in Wyoming and the old west is still abundant in that state. Yes, Jackson Hole is a bit on the glam side, but the rest of the state still has an old west mentality. :)

  • Cindy Chapman

I’m from California but I love the history and territory of Colorado.

  • chris granville

    God bless you
It would be wonderful if you could write about the Oregon trail……two of my great grandparents came over it and settled in Clackamas County Oregon

  • alisha woods

I am in Arkansas so that’s what I will say not many books based here

  • Lacey LeGall

I’d like to see Oklahoma as the state featured in the next series. Thank you for considering this! :-)

Lacey, how fun that you should mention Oklahoma! Both Vickie and I live here.
And Cindy–I made my home in Colorado for 20 years before joining my son (and wife and grandkids!)in Oklahoma. Those are the states mentioned so far that I have a connection with, although every place has interesting history!

I used to live in Oregon–my husband was born there, and we lived in Lane County. His sister lived in Clackamas for a while. Now I live in western Kentucky–just across the river from Missouri, so waving at Jenny. Writing about Texas was a wonderful new adventure for me. I have visited a few times and hope to go again soon.

I was raised in MICHIGAN and lived there most of my life — now I live in NORTH CAROLINA. So either one would be a good choice — but if I had to pick only 1, I’d pick Michigan.

    Susan Page Davis
Thank you for your Oregon comments! I was born in clackamas County And my humorous comment is I laugh when they say Lane county is Southern Oregon!! I live 25 miles from Calif
Please be careful in the Central US this summer!

  • Linda Gordon

My grandparents came across the Oregon Trail from Nebraska.
Oregon has a rich history and many distinct landscapes:
high desert, beautiful coast, mountains and the Willamette Valley. A book could be set in each of these and several others.

  • Jennifer Fleming

I think it would be fun to read a series in Colorado, especially around some of the smaller towns like Durango. Usually Colorado books are set near Denver :) Then again I live in Colorado and I’m really very partial!

  • Gail Fisher

I would love to see the series take a turn into my home state of Oklahoma during the days of Indian Territory with the lawmen, outlaws, and their women. The scenery is beautiful and there is so much history in our area to spin a story from. ;)

Oregon is such a beautiful state, with a wonderfully rich history. I think it would be great to see a series set there. But then again…Oklahoma would lend itself well to an historical series. :) (Sigh…so many states! Cant’ you just do them all? lol)

I’d love to see a series set in Montana. Such a beautiful state even today. Also would like to see one set in either South Carolina or Georgia. Nothing better than a sweet southern bell.

  • Leslie Klatt

North Carolina!! We have the beautiful mountains…Lake Lure, Asheville and so many places along the Eastern Coast…Outer Banks, Wilmington…the list goes on and on!!

    Missouri

Thank you for opportunity to win a Texas Trails book!

Well, this Southern lady (of-a-certain-age) is a born ‘n bred North Carolina Tar Heel but I absolutely love history so to learn about any of our States or regions is a treat for me. I have reviewed 3 of the Texas Trails books and would love to do the whole set! But that is not the subject right now, what is is what State for the next series. Well, ya’ll come on down to North Carolina if you’d like, but if you want to go elsewhere, I’ll just tag along.
